The Ovarian Cancer Circle/Inspired by Robin Babbini raises $100,000 in 2024 for ovarian cancer research, which it celebrated at a special check presentation ceremony on February 4, 2026.
The donated funds will support UCLA’s G.O. Discovery Lab for its ovarian cancer research that aims to advance early detection and treatment for the disease. The check was presented to Dr. Sanaz Memarzadeh, founder and director of the leading-edge gynecologic oncology research lab.
“I’d like to thank The Circle for its tremendous support,” said Dr. Memarzadeh, Director of the G.O. Discovery Lab. “Philanthropic support is instrumental in helping move our research forward because it allows us to have the money to do important studies that provide preliminary data to then also leverage and obtain these other large funding sources.”
The contribution, made in December 2024, reflects the collective efforts of The Circle’s philanthropic community during the 2024 year. Since its founding, The Ovarian Cancer Circle has raised more than $1.0 million to support Dr. Memarzadeh’s pioneering research.
A sincere thank you to all of The Circle’s donors, supporters, and volunteers whose generosity made this achievement possible and continues to drive greater support, awareness, education, and hope in the fight against this deadly disease.
