The Ovarian Cancer Circle/Inspired by Robin Babbini presents a check for $110,000 to Dr. Sanaz Memarzadeh and the UCLA Foundation at a special ceremony on January 17, 2026. The donated funds will support UCLA’s G.O. Discovery Lab for its ovarian cancer research that aims to advance early detection and treatment for the disease.
“Thank you to Paulinda and the incredible Circle Team,” says Dr. Memarzadeh, Director of the G.O. Discovery Lab, as she receives the check. “I’m excited that we’ve expanded our collaborative efforts. We’re applying for more grants, and this money will be instrumental in the upcoming year.”
Since its founding 16 years ago, The Ovarian Cancer Circle has raised more than $1.0 million to support Dr. Memarzadeh’s cutting-edge research. This most recent contribution reflects the collective impact of The Circle’s philanthropic community in 2025. The funds were donated year-end 2025 and celebrated at the ceremony held in January.
A great big thank you to all of The Circle’s generous donors, amazing supporters and loyal friends for making this milestone possible, and for your continued dedication to increasing support, awareness, education, and hope for this deadly disease.
The Circle’s 2026 fundraising efforts are well underway, and we invite supporters to view ways to Get Involved to advance disease detection and treatments.
